On Friday I was feeling under the weather and took the day off in hopes that I’d feel better by the end of the day. I had a leadership conference to attend for my sorority and not attending wasn’t an option. The team I’ve been overseeing for the last 6 months was counting on me to be there for them throughout the weekend.
I had a blast and forgot all about feeling under the weather.
That is, until Sunday afternoon where 10 hours of sleep total for the weekend took its toll. I was in bed early and when I woke up yesterday knew there was no way I would be going to work. Good thing too because I’ve been battling a fever on and off since then.
I whipped up a batch of broccoli soup with hopes that the veggies would help me feel better today. I even went to the office for an hour this morning before being sent home.
Now, I’m back on my couch with Odwalla Citrus C juice, vitamin C drops, lots of water and veggies, and of course Advil.
It’s not how I would like to be kicking off March but I’m hoping the extra fluids, rest, and vitamins will kick this virus to the curb!
